HFWCNY funding for Safe Kids continuation ![]() I am excited to share that the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York has decided to continue to fund the project coordinator’s role in our Safe Kids Coalition for an additional two years. Sydney has developed strong relationships with the coalition and community members and has helped expand many programs, such as the Safe Summer Bike Helmet Program, Child Passenger Safety, and Cribs for Kids Safe Sleep Training. We are grateful that the HFWCNY sees the value in this program and has agreed to continue funding. I look forward to see what comes next with this program. Give 716 ![]() Thank you to everyone who supported STHCS for Give716 last week! With everyone’s support, we were able to raise over $350. These funds will support our programs that allow us to continue improving the health and wellness of our rural community! Update Link EMT-B Academy![]() The third cohort of the Southern Tier EMT-B Academy began this week. We have 16 students in Olean and Jamestown that will participate in the academy over the next five weeks. This program is funded by the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation (MCHF) to increase the number of certified EMS providers in our catchment. STHCS is pleased the MCHF has continued to fund this program, and we look forward to the students completing the course and becoming NYS-certified EMT-B.
